Notes
Hypothesis: It's been my experience that a lot of relationship and rapport building has been through sharing spaces and experiences, not just direct communication. While, video calls like Teams, Zoom and Google Meet do a great job of connecting us over long-distances, they traditionally do a bad job of making us feel connected. I believe that this is because communication on these channels is almost always completely direct i.e. in conversation, and there is no time spent together other than in direct communication. In contrast, at home or in the office, there would be a considerable amount of time spent sharing spaces and experiences without communicating.
