Good to Great

A classic book that shows business improvement is all about vision, commitment and egoless leadership.

Good to great is one of the classic and I believe timeless books about business improvement. Like any strategy book, it shouldn't be taken as gospel but the lessons that it teaches including vision, focus, patience, persistence and inclusive leadership are always valuable.

I was given a copy of Good to Great very early on in my career. It was a really solid book almost twenty years ago.

What’s interesting is that it has popped up in boardrooms and strategy sessions on a regular basis for the next twenty years.

It’s not the most complex book, but the foundations are VERY solid. I think if you could be disciplined enough to get these basics right, you’d find yourself outperforming competitors and impressing yourself.
